This piece, entitled Faith, displays the hidden, internal struggle of life contained within all of us by altering the physical appearance of the figure that can be viewed. Faith holds fabric representing heaven, which is hidden away from her view in the background of the painting. Her guardian angel is supporting her as Faith’s foot rests on its translucent forms. This image is a visual representation of faith: “Being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”- Hebrews 11:1
This piece, entitled Hope, illustrates hidden, internal desires by displaying them figuratively. Hope is stoic and focused, and she believes what she needs will come to pass. This is based on the Bible, 1 Corinthians 12. The bird is a physical manifestation of her hope and is found flying in the background when the answer comes. Emily Dickinson’s poem inspired the imagery: “Hope is the thing with feathers- / That perches in the soul- / And sings the tune without the words- / And never stops at all.”
I am excited to announce the release of Love. The painting is expected to be released in May of 2025.
